Welcome to ISDCM website. You will be glad to know that our website has been updated providing all essential information about ISDCM. Some reports, documents, guideline and policies have also been added which may be interest to many of our partners, well-wishers, donors and stakeholders.
It may be relevant to say a few words about ISDCM. It was established in 1997. Since inception ISDCM has been contributing towards overall socio economic development in Bangladesh. Some of the studies conducted by ISDCM have contributed towards changes in policy direction of the development programs. Survey on socio economic conditions of working children of seafood industries funded by ILO helped formulate policy on eradication of child labor in Bangladesh. A study on the working of arsenic mitigation committees at different levels has helped UNICEF and the government of Bangladesh to reformulate the terms of references of the committees and reduction of number of committees at various levels. Besides, reports on evaluation of microfinance program, health, education, leadership on empowerment in various development projects conducted by ISDCM have been very useful in determining the direction of the programs.
ISDCM with its limited capacities has also contributed towards fulfillment of Mid-Decade Goals (MDGs) in line with the commitment of the government of Bangladesh. It has contributed to achieve the MDGs in i) eradication of extreme poverty and hunger ii) achieving universal primary education iii) promotion of gender equality and empowering women iv) reducing child mortality v) improving maternal health. Attempts are also on towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ISDCM is the acronym (Integrated Service for Development of Children and Mothers). It is a non-political and non-profit making NGO established in view of the need for integrated service for development of children and mothers.
A group of ex-professional persons who worked with UN Agencies, International and National NGOs and GOB for a long time have now joined hands and formed ISDCM to work as team to provide integrated service for development of children and mothers in Bangladesh. ISDCM team has a rich background of UN working systems, GOB, Service Club and NGO operational methods in Bangladesh. It was established in June 1997.
Because of long sincere and devoted service members of the team have unique opportunity to develop work relationship with different officials and the community at various levels. The team also has the expertise in program designing, project formulation, monitoring and implementation.
According to the Constitution of ISDCM the General Body is the highest authority of the Organization which consists of 31 members with the provision of increasing the number of general members. The Executive Committee (EC) consists of nine (9) members who are elected by the members of the General Body for a period of three (3) years. The EC is the decision-making body of ISDCM which plays an active role in reviewing and approving the projects and the activities. It is the policy implementing body.
Annual activities, budget and audit reports are placed to the general body of ISDCM for its approval in annual general meeting held once in a year. If necessary, such meeting shall be held more than once in a year or a special general meeting shall be called to approve the annual activities, budget and audit reports. The Executive Committee shall be accountable to the general body for all these activities and the decision(s) given in such meeting shall be mandatory for implementation.
